Description
Would you love it if you could tear your kids away from their screens even just for a short while? why not let me teach them how to sew?
Join me for 2 hours of hand/ slow stitching, learning right from the basics of threading a needle and knotting the thread. A responsible parent must accompany each child and you are welcome to join in with the session (at no extra charge!) you never know you may even learn something yourself!
The November dates will be Christmas themed! We’ll be making felt and fabric Christmas decorations.
Choose from the drop down box which date you’d like to book.
Both of you will learn simple stitches and start on a easy project such as a bookmark, a lavender hanging heart or a mug rug. Included in the cost of the session is a small kit to take home.
Hand sewing or slow stitching is a wonderful hobby for mindfulness which is the practice of being in the here and now. It really helps you to unwind and is a great art to learn in helping with good mental health.
Teaching our younger generation to be mindful through creativity is a great way of helping them to combat any worries they may have at the time and is a wonderful life lesson to learn.
Learning something together is also a lovely way to have a bit of bonding time too away from the stresses of family life.
Please do read our workshop t’s and c’s before booking, these are right at the bottom our home page and please leave me your mobile number in case I need to contact you.
Please note that this venue is on the third floor of a building and so may not be accessible for some.
