workshops

Beautiful bead embroidery workshop using preloved and vintage beads.

I’m so thrilled to now be offering Slow Stitch and Creative Workshops under the name The Haven Workshops!

The workshops came about from my passion that Hand Sewing, crafting and generally being creative can massively help you to unwind and de-stress through the practice of Mindfulness.

There’s a saying ” Busy hands, calm mind” and this is my motto for every session that I run!
When you are creating something and concentrating on the here and now, it really helps to improve your state of mind.  Being creative regularly has a huge positive impact on your mental and physical well being.. I have experience of this first hand!

Catering for complete beginners, and for all ages, we will create beautiful items from lots of different equipment and materials including preloved and vintage.

Come alone or with friends, learn a new hobby and techniques and enjoy a few hours of creativity with like minded people!

Click on the drop down Book a Workshop, find the session you’d like to attend and book your place.

Fun, relaxed hand sewing workshops focusing on mindfulness and wellbeing.

On 2nd September 2024 I opened a beautiful new Workshop space in Leek, Staffordshire above Leek Wow Hub, St. Edward’s Street, Leek. This space allows me to run all sorts of different workshops, offer the space for other people to hold workshops and also private parties as and when required. (This venue will be on the third floor of a listed building and so, may not be accessible for all.)

I also currently run my Workshops in 2 other venues throughout Stoke on Trent and the surrounding areas. Here’s the list of the venues I currently attend:

The Glost House, King Street, Longton,ST31EZ – accessible for all.

Artisanity, Glebe Farm, Astbury, Congleton, CW124RQ (Please do head over to their website to book at this venue- www.artisanity.co.uk)- accessible for all.

Each month has a workshop theme that runs through all of the venues.
