Slow stitching is a wonderful hobby that helps with the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is the art of getting absorbed in the moment and has been proven to help with anxiety, depression and stress. The saying of ‘Busy hands, calm mind’ is completely true.
These gift boxes that have been curated using preloved and vintage fabrics, lace, ribbons and buttons. The box size is 10 x 7 x 3 inches.
Both boxes contain preloved/ upcycled fabrics, ribbon, lace and buttons with some lovely Mindfulness prompts for you to follow, wax melts, a calming tea bag, hot choc sachet and chocolates. You’ll have a link in your kit to my YouTube videos that show you some basic slow stitches to help get you started,

The second box has all of the above plus a handmade fabric and felt journal for you to complete, beautiful rub on stickers and cuttings from a preloved novel. Both are ideal for you to create something beautiful while taking the time out to chill and de-stress.
The cover of this journal is created using upcycled fabrics. The edges are left raw, although they are over stitched, but there may be some fraying of the material. Please note that as the fabrics are repurposed they may not be perfect with slight wear and tear marks. The pages are made from white or cream felt. There is a ribbon or lace tie to close your journal with, this is stitched to the spine of the journal.
You can stitch your creations directly onto the pages or sew onto a fabric panel that you then attach to the pages.
